Councillor for Sports and Tourism of the Municipality of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, this morning the first free municipal bicycle loan service this vehicle, which today has begun to offer the tourist office.

Montiel said that "this is the first initiative to be carried out in Lorca in this regard and we will be progressively extended to other points as the IMJUDE, Bus Station and Visitor Centre 'Lorca Taller del Tiempo."

Any citizen or tourist who wants it at no cost you can rent one of these bikes only presenting their National Identity Card and sign a commitment to be responsible for the use of this vehicle.

"With this initiative we want to encourage both Lorca and our visitors use this environmentally friendly vehicle, while enjoying the best of the city," said Montiel.

Francisco Montiel explained that "bikes have a basket to help users make their purchases in the commercial center of the city using this non-polluting means of transport, which together with the minibuses that has put the Department of Transport take a step for a more sustainable and livable city. "

The councilman added that bicycles may be used by anyone who wants it at the same time that the opening of the tourist office, from 9:30 to 14:30 and 17:00 to 20:00.

The Councillor of Tourism also reported that the City has installed a map of the city in bronze from the bus station in the city and the RENFE train station, which will facilitate the location of visitors to our city.
