The Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, through the Directorate General for Transport and Highways, has sent a draft contract to build a new roundabout at the intersection of the road MU-620, for Lorca Pulpí with D-11, which runs from the station Lorca Puerto Lumbreras, in order to increase the stretch of road safety.
The investment amounts to 231,836 euros.
MU-620 road, linking the towns of Lorca and Pulpí, currently available, at kilometer 2, in a roundabout intersection type game that gives access to the road called La Torre, and it will be replaced by a new roundabout closed.
This road will soon become the road D-11, because they are running the works of extension of this road from the station in Puerto Lumbreras to the MU-620.
The intersection under the project, located in the municipality of Lorca, has become in recent years to a point with a high average daily traffic of heavy vehicles, to which must be added the transit of vehicles moving to the Institute High School located in the path of the Tower and a Primary school, which has led to the determination of the Directorate General for Transport and Highways to improve road safety in the area.
Project Description
This project will close a roundabout heading, which will occupy the same area as the previous paved through an adjustment of the firm through a layer four inches thick asphalt surface course and a wide scope.
Furthermore, in order to dispose of dead water or excessive moisture of the land, has also designed a device by means of ditches ditches and pipes, which will continue the existing ones.
Alongside this, the risers and pumping of the different roads allow easy evacuation of rainwater that could fall on them.
Finally, at the project included vertical and horizontal signaling, in addition to the beacon.
