The Municipal Council of Culture and Celebration City Council and the University Association Lorca "Musso Valiente" presented this morning the second workshop on Cinema and Human Rights, to carry out this group from 24 October to 14 November in the Garden Ruano, with the collaboration of the Savings Bank and the Mediterranean region.
For four days from Friday, from 18:00 hours, the films can admire Lorca continued evidence of our environment, responsible for developing such issues as human rights, or contempt towards them, and continue to reflect the brave coat films , which delve into human nature and some of its absurdities.
The cycle will cineforum format, so before the screening will be a presentation and then a debate.
So this Friday, October 24, opens the program with the short film SALVADOR (Story of a daily miracle) "(2007), Abdelatif HWID, which will follow the film" Salvador (Puig Antich) (2006) , Manuel Huerta.
The second day on Friday 31 October, will see "Babel" (2006), Alejandro González Iñárritu, while the Friday 7 November, will offer "14 MILES" (2007) by Gerardo Olivares.
The seminar will end on Friday 14 November with a tribute to Fernando Fernan-Gomez, which shall include "IN THE CITY WITHOUT LIMITS" (2002), Antonio Hernández.
In short, the scheduling of this series includes films that speak clearly of issues like immigration, historical memory, the death penalty or confinement and death in a global village does not have to feel very proud as regards to freedom and human dignity.
