The Councillor for Education and the City University of Lorca, Jose Joaquin Peñarrubia, explained that the Session will begin from December 15 to adapt the works of eight toilets for disabled guests to the residence of Special Education College of Pilar Soubrier.

"So far a boy or a girl in a wheelchair could not go to the toilet in a facility of this school for the disabled, a situation not happen again after this performance," said Alderman.

Lorca City Council will undertake the reform of the sinks and toilets in the amount of 30,000 euros, thanks to a grant from the Autonomous Community with the cooperation of the school management.

Peñarrubia stressed that "this action is part of the school improvement plan and architectural barriers that are running the Municipal Government with the Regional Government."

In addition, the Councillor for Education said that "the City is especially sensitive to the needs of the educational community of this center to educate children with disabilities throughout the Region, and the majority of Lorca."
