The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, reported that construction of the second phase of the Public School Ana Caicedo of our city are going to require investment of 2.7 billion euros from the Ministry Education of the Autonomous Community, and these facilities will allow us to accommodate 300 pupils.

Peñarrubia today introduced the bill relating to these works, detailing that the second phase will have two modules and paths sports courts, which may also be used by local residents outside the school environment.

Councilman of Education has detailed the project includes construction of a 3-storey building and another one.

The building of a first floor will house a gym, dining room and auxiliary units, while the 3 module will develop primary education and administrative services.

As for sports courts, these outdoor facilities, which will have the necessary perimeter fence as well as treatment-free areas outdoors.

Councilman of Education has stated that the total built area amounts to a total of 2644.76 m2 of the module A comprises a total of 777 m2 including a gym, multipurpose room, locker room, kitchen, pantry, bathroom trash, storage, boiler room, generator room, lobby lounge and ancillary units.

Module B, which covers about 1,800 m2, will host its first floor, a covered porch, entrance hall, 3 classrooms (one computer), staff room, 4 offices, filing, reception, photocopying, toilets and access stairs.

In his 1 st floor includes 5 classrooms, a library, warehouse, cleaning toilets and four.

In his 2 nd floor will house 5 classrooms, storage, cleaning toilets and four.

This work will comply with all accessibility criteria, so as to enable persons with reduced mobility and communication, access and circulation throughout the building in the terms provided in its regulations.

In terms of area covered by sports courts, we are talking about a total of 1,543 m2, leaving an open plot of 2,180 m2.
