The Spokesman of the Government Team of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, explained that the jury of the competition for the rehabilitation of churches in the districts of Lorca has awarded prizes to projects "Dessis" for the church of San John, "Clorofola" for San Pedro and "Coexistence" for the Santa Maria.
As you may recall, the projects selected for the churches of San Juan and San Pedro have won a prize of 12,000 euros each and the Santa María, one of 15,000, which will be given to the authors on Monday December 15 at 11: 00 hours in the Cloister of Mercy, an act which will be presented to the media.
The authors of the paper presented under the name "DESSIS" are Juan Maria Moreno and Roberto Vila Nunez Segui, registered in the Official College of Architects of Valencia, along with Julian and Gabriel Moreno Ortuño Soriano Ibáñez, Bachelor of Fine Arts.
For its part, the project "chlorophyll" is the work of White Enrique Cordova Diaz and Marta Alfaro Madroñero Azcarraga, belonging to the College of Architects of Madrid.
Finally, the work presented under the motto "living together" has been developed by a multidisciplinary team led by Juan Carlos Cartagena Sevilla, Juan Agustín García Benavent Ancosta Pedrero, architects belonging to the College of Architects of Murcia.
Likewise, the jury decided to give mention, with accredited degree granting, for the work presented under the theme "CESSAL", providing it with a prize of 2.000,00 euros, and its author the company "AVERAGE POINT ARCHITECTS SL, represented by Muniz José Zúñiga, and the technicians who participated Muniz José Zúñiga, Gabriel García Recamal and Elena Sánchez de Pablo, and Architects Association of Architects of Madrid.
Ibarra pointed out that this competition is part of the actions envisaged in the Urban Initiative for the Barrios Altos de Lorca, project co-finance the amount of the Competition of Ideas.
The municipal spokesman also explained that the works have been submitted to this contest will be exposed to all citizens to consider the proposals submitted on a date and venue to be announced.
The award jury was chaired by the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, Francisco Javier Gallego Roca, Professor, School of Architecture at the University of Granada, Manuel Alfonso Guerrero Zamora, manager of the Municipal Town Planning City Council Lorca, María García Martínez, Municipal Architect, Andrés Martínez Rodríguez, Municipal Archaeologist, Enrique de Andrés Rodríguez, Architect of the Official College of Architects of Murcia, on behalf of itself, and Bastida Antonio Peñas, Coordinator of the Comprehensive Plan Barrios Altos de Lorca ( PIBAL).
Also participating in the jury Social Care Councillor, Lali Ibarra Lopez, representing the Municipal People's Party, Leoncio Collado Rodriguez, representing the Municipal Group Socialist Pedro Sosa, representing the United Left group, and Manuel Muñoz Clares, attended as a guest in represtación Defence Association of Lorca's Heritage.
