The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, has tendered the refurbishment work on the first leg of the project to improve the C-9, located at the height of Zarzadilla de Totana (Lorca) , especially between mile markers 9 and 13, amounting to 1,091,334 euros.
This project, conducted at the request of the City of Lorca and the locals, this is the first phase of a comprehensive project for upgrading of this road, which links Zarzadilla Lorca and Totana, with which the movement will be enhanced and road safety in it.
"The work has a deadline of three months, so once the contract is awarded in the coming weeks, they may be completed by mid next year," the director general of Roads, Jose Guijarro, adding that after the performance "of the road users will run on a new platform, wider, which will feature two separate lanes of 3.5 meters wide and one meter shoulders on each side."
