The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, this morning the three winning projects of Competition for the rehabilitation of the churches of San Juan, San Pedro and Santa Maria, in the Barrios Altos de Lorca, and the words to one of the ideas for the Santa Maria.

This proposal stands out for providing an overview of the problems of accessibility and improving the urban environment, while raising the free energy production by installing solar collectors.
For its part, the proposal "chlorophyll", winner of the church of San Pedro, is a proposal that can dignify the image of the districts, green spaces and encouraging participation of citizens.
Similarly, the project Deesis, winner of the contest of the Church of San Juan, sees this building as a place of entertainment stop in the itinerary of "Lorca Taller del Tiempo", taking advantage of its location, access to strength, to promote tourism.
Finally, the project Cessal, mention the contest for the Church of Santa Maria, poses a different and unusual equipment in the city related to Easter.
Francisco Jodar has emphasized that "these ideas complete the project and urban social recovery that we are developing from this Team, which will also include works on about 40 streets in this area in 2009."
