Councilman Parks and Gardens of the City of Lorca, Angel Mecca, has announced that from today will give away 3,000 branches from pruning necessary in the mountains of the municipality, so that citizens can use them as Christmas trees, without the need for pruning illegal.

The branches may be collected at the fairgrounds in Santa Quiteria and the Department of Employment (Alameda de Menchirón) in the morning.

Mecca pointed out that "the indiscriminate felling is banned and therefore the City Council put this solution in coordination with the Directorate General Environment of the region."
