The Councillor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez, reported this morning that the local police stopped yesterday afternoon in a popular commercial establishment in the Avenida Juan Carlos I, an individual, apparently a Moroccan national, while trying to steal local objects.
The aforementioned individual even had a struggle with both the employees of the establishment as the agents of local police who managed to stop him.
In the course of it, the alleged thief caused minor injuries to one of these agents.
According to data provided by the local police in our city, the events occurred about 17:35 am when agents that integrate pedestrian surveillance unit was required by workers in a retail store, since, Apparently, inside was a person subtracting different items of clothing.
After the assistance to the local police, it was found that numerous safety devices had been disabled clothing and placed in a bag.
The estimated value of stolen items amounted to a total of 400 euros.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested and properly informed of their rights, and these agents told local police that it was minor and did not have any documentation.
To verify the latter point, the suspect was taken to the Hospital Rafael Méndez, where medical tests were found that this person was not telling the truth, because it is older.
