The Councillor for Employment and Government Spokesperson Team of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, has announced that the city council will invest from this January just over one and a half million euros for the settlement of a total of 32 streets of the districts of our city.
Ibarra explained that "it is a firm commitment to improving and modernizing our Uptown.
For this government team these actions are a priority, so we made a special attention to these proceedings.
The aim of this work is to provide a better environment for all citizens of this area.
Throughout the work will proceed to perform different actions such as the replacement and upgrading of existing firm, referral services and supplies such as electricity and sewage pipes, as well as improving street lighting, among others, renewing and improving the urban environment of more than 11,000 citizens. "
This series of works is part of "Basic Municipal Infrastructure Plan" as part of the proposed extraordinary measures for economic promotion and consolidation of the use of the Presidential and Public Administrations of the Autonomous Community.
In fact, from the Regional Executive is to provide a higher amount to 1,050,000 euros, while from the city council will go just over 450,000 euros.
The Employment Edil anticipated, moreover, that this series of works that began this January, will continue both this year and several months of next year 2010.
In the course of the work is expected to employ over 180 workers.
Neighborhoods and areas that will benefit from this initiative will primarily Calvary Hall, ravine of San Lázaro, San Lázaro, San Pedro, San Juan, Santa Maria, Cabezo White House, Head of Tejares Piñero and gully.
