The Councillor of Tourism of the Municipality of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has informed this morning of the final award of the works of lighting Lorca castle walls, including the Tourism Promotion Plan for a lower amount of EUR 101,440.7 originally expected.
Montiel explained that "the amount of contractual execution was originally scheduled for € 343,125.34, including VAT, but the best bid submitted, which has been awarded, it valued at 241,684.64 Euros."
"This reduction in the cost of performing the work, will enable us to undertake and expand other new tourism projects in which we are already working and will be announced soon, and increase the resources allocated to the renewal of the four museums of embroidery the Steps of the Holy Week in Lorca, which so far was 60,000 for the Paso Blue and many others to the White Pass, along with 30,000 for the Paso Morado and the same figure for Step Incarnate "added Francisco Montiel.
The lighting of the castle is framed within the activities being undertaken to improve the tourism product 'Lorca Taller del Tiempo' and star element "La Fortaleza del Sol" in the Castle.
Of the total of 1,426 meters in perimeter walls, exist today lit a total of 517 meters and is intended to extend to 1,145 meters.
In addition, replacement of existing lighting a new one, that raise safety and energy saving systems more appropriate, will save approximately 40 minutes of power per day, representing 6.5% of total hours of operation and annual savings of around 30%.
Local Government Board awarded the construction of pavilion and renovation of several in San Cristobal Public School
The City Council of Sports has also announced that the Local Government Board has also approved the provisional award of the contract for the construction of a sports pavilion of the Bar Association of San Cristobal in the neighborhood of the same name.
In addition to the pavilion will be undertaken a store for sports equipment and changing rooms.
The work has been awarded amounting to 180,882.47 euros compared to the 183,600 euros that was marked as the top of auction price.
This amount is included in the more than 5.5 million euros from a grant from the Autonomous Region, thanks to an agreement signed by the mayor with the Minister of Education, which was published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia last December 24.
