The Women's City Councilman Lorca, Antonia Lopez, this morning a pioneering project of psychosocial care for rural women, called "About You", which will allow for the first time decentralization of services of the Department of Women high in the districts, villages of the coast and Almendricos.

Lopez explained that the project is a pilot initiative, which will be launched in mid of this month until the summer to further evaluate their development and review opportunities for continued and expanded to other districts.

This first phase will allocate a portion of the increase in the subsidy programs of equality between men and women of the Women's Institute for the Region of Murcia, which this year has increased from 40,000 euros last year to 68,000.

The City Council has stressed that the main objective is to "achieve equality in access to resources that rural women have compared to those closest to the town, this will provide an integrated service with an information, advice and guidance the local women's associations, but not exclusively aimed at women partners, but all the neighboring rural area of Lorca. "

Among the services to be provided will include counseling, prevention, detection and guidance in situations of abuse, promoting physical and mental health, promoting the reconciliation of family life, work and family, as well as information and guidance and training to rural women.

Lee also stressed that "it will make a special effort to have accurate knowledge of immigrant women in rural areas and develop targeted action to meet their needs, so as to achieve true integration into the social reality of the hamlet" .

Likewise, Councilman Women with this program aims to achieve greater social integration and participation in all activities that the City Council are held for women in the municipality.

The program is a dynamic, so that after the first contact with reality, the planned actions will be redesigned.

With this initiative, the Municipal Government Team fulfills its commitment to implement measures to support rural women such as Antonia Lopez announced in October.

Specifically, the first districts in which they will operate this service will be La Paca, Avilés, Doña Inés, Coy, Zarcilla Palm Zarzadilla of Totana, La Parroquia, Ramonete, Morata and Almendricos.
