The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the City Council Mayor and NGOs of the Consistory Lorca, head of the local municipal social, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, presented this morning the construction project within the Municipal Investment Plan (PIMUN 2009) , a new Multipurpose Community Centre in the district of San José, which will cover all existing collective in that area.

The distribution of the new building has been previously agreed upon by all groups in the district and consists of extensive inspection and acceptance of 24.30 m2, 64.55 cafeteria m2, 6.35 m2 warehouse, multi-purpose room for youth 31 m2, multi-purpose room over 31 m2, Office for Social Work Unit of 14.10 m2, spacious office for groups of 17.80 m2, meeting room 29.75 m2 and comprehensive Multi-Purpose Room 103.55 m2.
These units must be added three large workshops for the group of women ranging from 23 to 30 m2 and wheelchair accessible toilets.
Francisco Jódar showed his satisfaction that "the construction of the new Multipurpose Community Centre responds to strong demand neighborhood, which goes back many years ago and had never been addressed."
