The Councillor for Sustainable Development of the City of Lorca, Francisco Garcia, has announced that the city council will have a noise map of the town center that will show which areas suffer greater noise pollution.
Garcia has indicated that this action, which forms part of the actions that are being developed from the council in respect of Agenda 21, the City will provide a powerful tool that will undoubtedly facilitate the control of noise pollution in our town and will contribute important in building a more livable Lorca. "
Since the Planning Department explained that the Management Council held on Tuesday and agreed to approve the provisional allotment of the preparation of strategic noise map of the town of Lorca.
The purpose of this contract was to develop, through a company specializing in the work necessary to establish a zoning permit sound of urban areas and analysis on the implementation of sound quality objectives established by the 2002 European Directive / 49 and Law 37/2003 on Noise in such a way that will produce a final document, Strategic noise map, which would provide support for new buildings to be developed in the study area (away from buildings, acoustic insulation requirements in walls, etc.), which constitute a necessary tool for predicting changes in noise levels that concrete action would be in an area, and that will provide information and tools needed to take action plans to prevent and reduce environmental noise in our town.
Finally agreed to award the contract for the company Integrated Environmental Consulting, Ltd., for an amount of € 47,800, the lead time is six months from the final award of work.
