The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, met last night with the residents of San Lazaro, the mayor del Barrio, Isabel Navarro-Soto, and the president of the Neighborhood Association, José María Pérez, and pledged to make available for a neighborhood assembly the final design of the main thoroughfare of this district, Calle Jose Maria Zaraud, which will be renovated thanks to the Municipal Investment Plan (PIMUN'09).
Jodar, who was accompanied by the councilors of PIBAL, Lali Ibarra of this neighborhood, Belén Pérez, and NGOs, Mari Carmen Ruiz, presented at this meeting that the district of San Lazaro will benefit this year, thanks to PIMUN , of the reform by the City of seven blocks, amounting to 342,091 euros from European funds and the region.
Specifically, the Street Nieto, Piety, Morata, Follana, Serrano Alarcón will benefit from a substitution of supply networks, sanitation and electricity (which will now be buried), after which we will install a cobblestone pavement.
By contrast, the Mayor decided that the neighbors are those who should agree the treatment is carried out on the streets wider and more possibilities to act, Jose Maria Zaraud, which could include the burial container and widening sidewalks , change of paving and services ... if the neighbors so desire.
The meeting will be convened in the coming days by the Town Mayor and Chairman of the neighborhood association signs on neighborhood streets.
Thus, Francisco Jódar to reinforce the direct participation of all residents in the decision making of the Municipality of Lorca.
