The Councillor for Tourism, Trade and Handicraft of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, announced this morning that from this municipal area has been organized in collaboration with the Centre for Tourism Murcia qualification, the course "Lorca: an integral vision of the municipality from the tourism perspective, which will run between 2 and 14 March in the Chamber of Commerce of Lorca.
The course is primarily to convey the image of the overall tourism product Lorca among tourism professionals in the region and the municipality of Lorca improving their knowledge about it.
The aim is to contribute not only to the improvement of the service of the municipality but also that those who are in direct contact with tourists such as official guides in the region, tourist technicians and other professionals the tourism sector in the Region of Murcia know how to transmit the image of Lorca as a quality tourist destination.
In this sense, the main beneficiaries of this training activity is the establishment adhered Quality System Lorca Tourist Destination (SICTED), professionals in public service points (hotels, non-hotel accommodation, ...) as well as official guides Murcia and Technical Office of Tourism.
The course will feature speakers and Manuel Muñoz Clares, who combines his work in the municipal archives of the Municipality of Lorca in the investigation of regional history, Juan Francisco Jiménez Alcázar, professor of medieval history at the University of Murcia and director of the Center Medieval Studies at the university, Andrés Martínez Rodríguez, Director of the Archaeological Museum of Lorca and Maria Angeles Dormouse, manager of Lorca Taller del Tiempo, among others.
