The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, opened today, along with the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, two new halls at school Alfonso X the Wise, which is an extension of this facility in 225 new seats Child and a dining room psychomotor, staff rooms, toilets and playground.
Sotoca welcomed this work "resulting from a line of work being conducted by the regional government in the construction, expansion and modernization of schools, spending on education is a priority for us, despite the current time of crisis."
The mayor said on the other hand the need for such new infrastructure and a common goal with City Council and Ministry of improving educational facilities and education in general.
In the first of the pavilions are located nine classrooms of Children, aimed at students aged 3, 4 and 5 years, with a total of 225 new jobs.
And the second is for dining, psychomotor classrooms, staff room, toilets and a playground.
With these facilities is in response to demand from parents of the center and covers the educational needs of the neighborhood where its located.
The Ministry of Education, Training and Employment has invested in the expansion works 1,812,527 euros, which was joined by other investments planned in the town of Lorca, among which is the construction of a new Middle and High School Education which will have 22 units and a budget of 5,442,370 euros.
In addition, this course is scheduled for repair work in 14 primary schools in the city and districts, and the second phase of the Center for Infant and Primary 'Ana Caicedo', with an investment of 2,691,806 euros.
