Red Cross already has a new ambulance that will serve all the functions that this important NGOs held in Lorca.
The Mayor of the city, Francisco Jodar and NGO Edil, Mari Carmen Ruiz, participated in the delivery of Red Cross members of this new vehicle in the Plaza of Spain.
The reason for this acquisition is that, under current regulations, ambulances have a lifespan of eight years, so has had to replace one of two vehicles that had Red Cross to hold and have also an ambulance equipped with all emergency equipment and all necessary means of transport such as useful and necessary.
The total cost of the vehicle amounts to 52,000 euros, which have been borne by the Red Cross volunteers with activities such as the Feast of the flag or the Gold Sweepstakes, and the agreement signed between City Hall and the Red Cross, which the Consistory Lorca subsidized annually by this organization with more than 46,000 euros.
In this regard, Francisco Jodar has stated that "taking into account the great work that the Red Cross takes place in our city is unacceptable that the City work with them as we are doing, so that together, services for the Lorca are getting better and more efficient. "
For its part, Mari Carmen Ruiz recalled "the role of the Consistory, helping whenever necessary to organizations like Red Cross do much good in our city."
