Ibarra has stressed that the government team appreciates the contribution of representatives of associations to improve the integration of new neighbors, their living conditions, social, labor, housing, health and education.
The Councillor for Social and Immigration Services of the Municipality of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, has opened this morning at the Ice House hostel a day of work and discussions with associations and institutions working with immigrants in the municipality, the findings provide a basis for the Municipal Plan of Immigration.
Ibarra explained that the First Meeting on the Social Integration of Immigrants, the City seeks to explore and analyze the situation at the local level of policies and actions aimed at social integration of immigrants with the ultimate goal of promoting and designing a local action plan for our new neighbors.
During this conference some thirty representatives of groups involved in a series of concurrent workshops on four main lines in addressing the social integration of immigrants, as are the educational context, health and cultural conditions, social and labor conditions and living conditions housing.
To this end, the methodology used municipal technicians SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Threats, Strengths and Opportunities) in order to define the strategies to be applied in the design of a future Local Plan for Immigration.
Ibarra has stressed the interest of this team Municipal Government on the integration of immigrants and improve their living conditions and promote the participation of citizens and groups to contribute their experiences and views.
