Last weekend, 18 and 19 April, has completed the first training course on alternative entertainment at night, they have developed the Youth Council of the City of Lorca and the Youth Association Qdamos alternative leisure.
In this course, which was conducted in the vicinity of Rio Luchena, and which involved a total of 23 youth in the municipality of Lorca accompanied IMJUVE monitors and technicians, have addressed issues such as participation, volunteerism, youth and leisure options that will be implemented in the months of May and June during the first phase of project activities Qdamos.
Youth Councilman Joaquin Ruiz Montalvan stressed that "this is not an isolated activity of the association, but part of the annual program, which since 2006 has been developing Qdamos in the city and districts of Lorca, with the collaboration of different public bodies such as the Youth Council of Lorca, Department of Youth and NGOs and other associations such as the AC of Moors and Christians in Lorca, AJ Scout Group Sun City, Cineclub PARADISO among others, where are the young people themselves propose, design and participate in implementing them, in addition to the Youth Space Management "The Office" (located in the Garden of the conference) where they can develop activities of various kinds, in the halls of associations, multiple uses or test.
For 2009 and within the first phase of activities, Qdamos will perform on weekends in May and June, diverse activities for all young people living in Lorca between 14 and 30.
Ruiz Montalvan said that "the most outstanding is the third edition of the Evening Cup, which will consist of approximately 12 hours of football," the Great Battle Night-a gymkhana throughout the city, in which participants are required to simulate some of the situations that were experienced in the reconquest of Lorca and in which each belong to one of the three cultures that share our city (Christians, Arabs and Jews) in those days, "the" Boring Sunday "that performed in different rooms of the Young-space which carry out activities such as film screenings, creative workshops, games, video game competitions, etc. and opening-night time of the study rooms.
