On Sunday April 26 is celebrated the Fourth Regional Walker's Day, organized by the Club Senderista de Lorca "La Carrasca" and the Mountaineering Federation of Murcia Region in collaboration with the Municipal Institute of City Sports and Games Lorca (IMJUDE).
More than 400 walkers from different parts of the Region and the provinces of Alicante and Almeria gathered at this event, which had a central activity hiking route that started from the Convent of Mercy, crossing the river towards Guadalentín the Cortijo de la Quinquilla and Valentine's Cejo back to Pylons along the trail of Cejo.
At the end of the path, all the walkers and members of the organization of the club "The Carrasca" enjoyed a snack and lunch Lorca products.
As the end of Walker's Regional Day IV proceeded to witness the act of changing the organizer of the event held annually in our region.
Juan José Vilar, president of The Carrasca "gave the baton to President Salvador English Cartagena Hiking Centre, the club will organize the fifth edition in the municipality of Cartagena.
Antonio Ruiz, president of the Mountaineering Federation of Murcia, closed the event by thanking the Club Senderista of Lorca and all its partners for organizing the effort and work done for the trails that are being developed in Lorca.
He also thanked the efforts of our partner companies at the event and the presence of individual walkers and clubs in the region.
