Councillor Development and Housing of the City of Lorca, Joaquin Ruiz, reported this morning that the Consistory has introduced six new grant requests to the autonomous region for the recovery of historical heritage, which would add to the rehabilitation of facades of two buildings Calle Cava, five in the Barrio de San Cristóbal, and the facade and roof of the house of the priest of the Church of Santiago, which will begin soon, as well as the rehabilitation of the district Alfonso X El Sabio, already completed.
Ruiz pointed out that the Council aims to ensure that the Regional Government fully funded the costs EUR 2,260,664 recovery of the Fountain of Gold, as well as half of 49,697.64 euros, which would involve the purchase of a building next to the Church of San Roque for further rehabilitation and incorporation into the municipal assets.
Another project featured raised the call for regional aid is the renewal of the urban image in the vicinity of Barrio de San Juan, which would allow the rehabilitation of facades and roofs of more than 20 buildings in this area uptown.
The cost of this action amounts to EUR 364,733.04, of which it is proposed that the Ministry of Public Works 50% subsidized.
I have also requested the grant of 75% for the adequacy of the buildings covered facades of Loch Street, corner of Pérez de Hita, and Nogalte 14, which also act on the medians, which would involve a total outlay of 125,832 83,081.15 euros and euros, respectively.
Similarly, the City proposes that the Regional Government finance 50% of the 206,016 euros it costs to its consolidation Nogalte Street building, for housing, for its architectural interest.
Joaquin Ruiz stressed that, therefore, we have asked the Ministry of Public Works tipping further contribution to Lorca and 2,727,572.2 euros of 3,090,023.83 euros.
These amounts would be added to 50416.86 euros already awarded by the Community, as a subsidy to 75% of the rehabilitation of the facade and roof of the house of the priest of the Church of Santiago, which will start imminently and be completed in about four months.
Another of the activities financed by the Ministry are the rehabilitation of buildings Calle Cava 41 and 47, whose contract was formalized today, worth 30,431 euros, of which the Community is funding the same percentage.
