The regional government has approved an agreement between the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration through the Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, Lorca and the City Council for the implementation of care programs for women victims of violence gender and their minor children.
Thus, the Women's Institute to the city of Lorca granted a total of 116,000 euros to address two initiatives, of which € 48,000 was allocated to the guesthouse and care for women victims of domestic violence and their minor children, and the remaining $ 68,000 will be to implement the Plan for Equal Opportunities and, largely, to develop educational and training activities that allow social integration and employment of women.
The agreement between the two administrations include the development of programs that promote equal opportunities between men and women through the elimination of barriers and obstacles to gender equality and to finish with the elements that lead to discrimination against women.
