Within the Action Plan for the dissemination of Medieval History and Heritage of the City of Lorca are held these days and until the summer the so-called Cultural Encounters of the Federation San Clemente.
The first activity involved the presentation of the latest book by Manuel Pimentel "The architect of Timbuktu" in the Mansion Garden City Ruano Lorca.
During the ceremony, attended by numerous institutions, prominent members of the Cultural and political representatives of the town of Lorca, the Andalusian Parliament and all the generous full hall of the Mansion, involved the President of the Federation San Clemente, Luis Antonio Torres del Alcázar, the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jódar Alonso, Isabel Giménez, Representative of New Purias Business Park, and author Manuel Pimentel.
Featured values to frame this event in the program have their foundation in the relationship that introduce the characters and the era in which the action unfolds in the novel to the Medieval History of the City, when Border epitomized Castle Lorca, defense of the kingdom for 244 years.
The author stressed the importance of the Medieval Heritage of the City, the values shown in the novel that are topical today, as well as the tribulations of the human being as are the passions and the hatred embodied in the biography of a character as representative as Es Saheli, an example of architecture of his time and whose buildings have inspired other geniuses like Gaudi.
After the presentation, Manuel Pimentel signed copies of his work, surpasses all expectations as it sold out despite the vast amount provided for that purpose.
The cultural event ended with a poetry reading event livened up by a virtuoso Spanish guitar music, chords are rooted in the deepest depths of Spanish medieval history, accompanied by champagne and chocolates tasting medieval.
