The director general noted that "this performance, conducted at the request of the City of Lorca and the locals, has a deadline of three months and represents the first phase of the comprehensive project for upgrading the C-9, which goes MR-711 (Sales Cavila Lorca) to RM-503 (Bullas to Aledo).
The project includes the widening of the existing road, which will have two lanes of 3.5 meters wide and one meter shoulders on each side.
It will also carry out road marking and vertical road marking and the section under overall performance, which begins at the intersection with Highway Aledo, MR-C21.
In this regard, he stressed that the recent improvement of the first tranche of the RM-C21, which were finished last April and the upcoming start of the second phase of the action, will complete the secondary network of Lorca, enhancing communications in the regions of Upper and Lower Guadalentín.
Recycling process
Improving the C-9 will take place through a new system that is to 'recycle' the road surface, taking advantage of existing material, so it is a more economical than conventional.

The recycling process is executed with a specific machine that grinds the existing asphalt and mixes it with cement and water.
