The Councillor for Employment and Training of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra has reported that employment counseling services in this municipal area in the first quarter of 2009 have assisted 28 entrepreneurs aged between 19 and 58 years (of which 17 of these entrepreneurs were men and 11 women) determined to develop as autonomous self-employment projects in the municipality, which keeps this figure the same as in the last quarter of 2008.

It has also helped to create a trade in agricultural products, other animal feed, other food, and a sewing shop, a construction company and a winery.
In the Department of Employment is offered to these entrepreneurs advice guides, advice on legal status (independent, limited company or corporation, cooperative, ...) and some of the business plan (location, competition, opportunities, ...), information on microcredit and grants as well as the possibilities of locating your business in local nurseries.
