A total of 28 participants competed this past Saturday Local Squash Tournament II of Lorca in the afternoon at the Sports Complex Europe.
Despite being a local test, signed up players from Puerto Lumbreras, Caravaca and the neighboring town of Velez Rubio.

The player Lorca, Paco Abellaneda, demonstrated once again his favorite condition after advancing in the playoffs, defeated in a close final to Peter Godson, ranking number 2 of Lorca, 3-2 in 40 minutes.
The match was hotly contested, leading to the last game with chances for both athletes.
Godson forgave a match point and Abellaneda got round the marker to the nervousness of all viewers 13-11.
These two players, Paco and Pedro Abellaneda Godson, Nos. 1 and 2 respectively of squash lorquino have played in every championship finals in recent years.
Eliminated in the semifinals Pedro Antonio Martinez and Chris Warren, who plays an Englishman.
In the consolation draw Alfonso Garcia Diego beat Clement in an intense final, while Juan Carlos Peñarrubia was done with the third.
The organization of the tournament was perfect and success, also led by the words of the various players who want more tournaments like this, encourages the Squash Club Lorca, chaired by Andrés Aznar to the completion of a third local squash tournament soon .
The Squash Club Lorca helped with the celebration of World Day of squash, precisely on Saturday 23 May, with the organization of a spectacular tournament that lasted nearly five hours in total.
