The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, and General Director of Academic Planning of the Autonomous Region, Aurora Fernandez, accompanied by the Deputy Director of Planning, Evaluation and Educational Quality, Francisca Martinez, have held a meeting this morning working to coordinate the implementation of new courses in the municipality.
Peñarrubia stressed the process was already launched for the start of the first class of Bachillerato Research Institute Ros Francisco Giner, in the next school year.
Similarly, the council said "very positive progress has been made in talks for the delivery of other high schools in the municipality as well as studies and language arts education."
One of the new projects have also been outlined at this meeting include the ability to implement, by signing a cooperation agreement between the municipality and the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, an occupational class in the municipality for prevention and control truancy.
It also aims to establish a hospital room in Lorca, for providing education to children in hospitals, providing an educational framework in the hospital, close to the emotional and psychosocial needs of schoolchildren.
