The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, today introduced the II Festival de Teatro de Calle de Lorca 'Teasol', held from 23 to 26 June.
Martinez was accompanied by the Councillor for Culture of Lorca, Rosa Medina, and the councilman of Youth, Joaquin Ruiz.
The festival, held the Castle of Lorca, the Plaza de Calderón, Lorca Manterola Plaza or Gateway is an initiative of the Instituto Municipal de la Juventud de Lorca, IMJUVE.
The Director General for Cultural Promotion said that "the region has always been an excellent setting for events and Lorca theater, the Teatro War, is one of the most important exhibition center, with the best ideas from regional and national theater" .
With this festival, said Martinez, "not only complete the offer and put in value the cultural heritage of the city, but the streets have also become an exhibition center theater."
The festival, which was born last year, theater companies participating regional, national and international representing, among others, 'Night of Spells in Fortaleza del Sol', 'boat Arena' or the parade under the title 'BusinessClass '.
'Teasol' is supported by the record label All City Council Arts Lorca, and seeks to create theater in the city's open spaces.
