Employment Councilwoman City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, announced this morning that the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Ministry of Education and Employment has approved a grant of 677,330 euros for the Consistory lorquino to develop the Workshop on Employment " Labora ", which involved 32 students working over 25 years.
Ibarra explained that "this training activity will begin in the fourth quarter and is designed to facilitate the training of the unemployed Lorca, while receiving a salary for doing practical work, to help them overcome the crisis we through. "
Together with the contribution of the Regional Government, the City will invest 100,000 euros in this project, with which 777,330 euros will cover the cost amounting, since it includes the participants receive their salary, 1,092 euros per month for a year, representing 1.5 times the minimum wage.
This workshop will develop actions to use the profiles of masonry, carpentry, metalworking and coatings, through which steps will be taken to improve city spaces and buildings, mainly in the Uptown area of the city and in villages.
There will be eight seats for each of these specialties.
The student workers made minor works such as building envelope in municipal, repair and manufacture of wood in municipal, catering by masonry in degraded areas and improving accessibility of public places, with the installation of handrails and railings, among other actions.
Participants in this program receive training of 1,920 hours of theory and practice, which aims to improve employability.
Employment Workshop "Work" is part of the Municipal Employment and Training for the last quarter of 2009, valued at € 3.6 million, which will add to the 2.3 already invested.
