The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, convene an extraordinary plenary session for next Tuesday at 12:00 hours to request the disaster area declaration for the parishes affected by high heavy hail last Monday, following the procedure announced on Tuesday at conference release by the three council members responsible for dealing with the situation created by the inclement weather.
The hamlets of Avilés, Doña Inés, Coy, La Paca and part of Totana Zarzadilla were most affected by this devastating hailstorm, producing heavy damage vineyards and almond trees especially.
