Acting Mayor of the City of Lorca, Francisco Garcia, Councilmember of Agriculture, Angel Mecca, and the Councillor for the Environment and the districts high, Melchor Morales, have returned to appear this morning at a press conference for further details regarding to the actions being undertaken by the Consistory in coordination with the Autonomous Region in response to heavy hail suffered by several high-Lorca districts on Monday.

Mecca has expressed its full appreciation to the Ministry of Agriculture and Water for their quick and effective response to the above incident, the City Council by providing 3,000 kilos of fungicide and 1,000 kilos more than ship out today to cope with the demand completely free of charge for all the districts affected by Lorca, as well as assessment and evaluation work carried out by technicians of that Department hours after the regrettable incident.
