Environment Councilman of the City of Lorca, Melchor Morales, inaugurated this morning the festivities of La Paca with a cry that has managed to captivate all Paquera.
He began by thanking the great satisfaction he felt when he received the privilege of being the harbinger of the holidays that welcomes so many friends, moments and experiences.
The preacher recalled how on August 17, after the hail gripped northern gardens Lorca, went to check the damage which unfortunately had suffered some districts of Lorca as Avilés, Coy or Doña Inés, showing with great satisfaction that The Paca just was damaged.
He also mentioned the memorable earthquake that happened a few years ago and caused so much pain on this earth, hoping that never happens again.
Melchor Morales stressed, in the same way as all the neighbors came together to cope with such adversity, demonstrating that La Paca not a people but a big family where everyone helps, no matter what.
It is an exemplary model that other nations should continue to solve their problems based on the drive and effort.
Also, the mayor said "the nature of the paquera", boasting of their good will and "their union as a people, facing and overcoming all the problems getting all rowing in the same direction."
In addition, assessed the organization of festivals that have made people "knowing masterfully combine the two parts of the celebration, entertainment and sentiment."
I also have praise for the Virgen de las Huertas, which is an essential part of these celebrations.
Morales was excited again and again reiterated the undeniable affection, love and devotion to the patron before the holidays.
The preacher concluded by congratulating the neighborhood associations in the council for the work performed to improve the village and the unmistakable cries of "Viva the Virgen de las Huertas!, Viva La Paca!
