During the official opening, Mayor of Lorca said "the participation and popular support" as the main values of the Games

But the 6 miles of the trail became very difficult, because here the march was dominated by music and entertainment, laughter, color giant elephants, and above all, the desire of participants to have a great time.
Because it was again demonstrated, once again, that the Games are what they are thanks to the popular support and the good atmosphere between all participants.
But as in all sporting events has to be winners, there would be less than the opening day of the Games.
With one difference: that the winners were, in this case, those most in need.
And is that the staff of Caritas Interparroquial, organization for the benefit of which was held this March, and more kilos kilos collected non-perishable food, at least for a few weeks, will fill the food bank of the NGO and may be shared between Lorca families most in need.
Indeed, during the official opening, Francisco Jodar Lorca Mayor congratulated all the participants, said while "feel extremely proud to be a resident of a city where citizens show their solidarity with this firm."
Mayor also wanted to highlight "the two principal values of the Games: public support and participation that make each new edition is a continued success."
Finally, Jódar congratulated "all those who make it possible for us to enjoy sports games, especially Lorca in each new edition will add to this event."
He also participated at the opening Director of Caritas, Lazaro Caballero, who thanked the Sports Games collaboration, while encouraged all participants "to continue to work with the aim of Caritas to help those most in need."
And after the opening draw of gifts: Entries for the Fair and Festival of Lorca, weekends in municipal shelters, lots of local produce, jams, bicycle, ...
That is, a great reward after their exertions, and after spending an afternoon than enjoying the sport.

Because Guadalentín Sport Games have only just begun ...
