The XII Festival Lorca City Sport Fishing, held in Almeria Vera Playazo this past weekend was attended by 94 participants, or 47 pairs.
The organization was in charge of the Sportfishing Association of City of Lorca and the Municipal Sports and Games.
Due to the success in previous years, was held for the fourth year running in parallel with the exhibition Land, a local competition, where couples were not federated proof of their capacity for this test.
On completion of both championships, we note that bad weather forecast also influenced participation, since many of the fishermen arrived to perform the same could not be presented at the end, especially those outside the region.
However, despite this handicap, which resulted in the absence of almost half of the expected participants, the presence of fishermen was widespread.
Bad weather was present not only in the forecast, but the night offered Playazo could not present more problems for the fishermen, who made a real exercise of will and showed his love for this sport.
And the rain is accompanied them throughout the night, making it more difficult to exercise.
But then, last but not least, the people of Vera was the epicenter for that early morning electrical storm, although it is always dangerous, more still is for fishermen due to the carbon composition of the cane.
Because of this thunderstorm participating fishermen had to stop, take the canes to the ground and wait for better weather to go fishing.
For all these reasons, all participants deserve our admiration and congratulations to fight against adversity and persevere in the effort to contest the award despite the dire weather conditions.
