The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, has reported that the Consistory lorquino offered in 2008 by writing to the Ministry of Education of the Autonomous municipal land so you can build the new Official Language School in the municipality.
Peñarrubia in the letter sent to the Regional Government recalled that the EOI "has over 15 years sharing facilities in the IES Francisco Giner Ros in exclusive evening hours, unable to increase its educational offerings."
Specifically, the City claims that the new Official School of Languages be located on a plot of 1,800 m2 facilities in new developments near the intersection of 'El Gato'.
The direction of this school, and technicians of the Ministry of Municipal School Board members have visited the land offered, considering the ideal for this purpose.
In this vein, the Municipal School Board, a proposal from its chairman, agreed unanimously to pass this request to be included as one of the actions to develop in Lorca, as part of the Social Plan for Education in the Region of Murcia.
The location of the School of Languages would therefore be in the new expansion of the city, around which the College has risen Ana Caicedo and Mental Health Center, and soon will begin work on the Youth Space and Lorca new Municipal Nursery School.
