The City Council of the City Mayor of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz Jodar has reported that the city council finally awarded the construction of new Day Centre for older people is to be located in the district of Puri.
Jódar Ruiz explained that this is a building that will be built on a plot of municipal property located within the Special Plan Zoning Adjustment called "Torre del Obispo" and whose works will be financed through an agreement it signed with the Ministry Consistory Policy Social for this purpose an amount of 820,000 €.
The mayor of the Mayor pointed out that "this is an important work, which will seat fifty users.
Of these ten seats will be reserved for patients with Alzheimer's.
The building comprises a floor area of 948.70 m2 885.48 m2 useful, distributed on one floor, comprising porch, common spaces, control, fitness center, two multipurpose rooms, staff room, three offices , lounge, toilets and changing rooms, kit, dining, office, pantry, clothing and warehouse workers, as well as three large courtyards that give great light and views of the construction.
The building complies with current regulations of the Day Centre and has the approval of the Accreditation and Inspection Service of the CARM Centre. "
The council has stressed that the Consistory is making significant efforts to improve the lives of our elders, providing the continuity of their lifestyles and achieve higher levels of personal autonomy, preventing the increase of the unit and putting in place appropriate frameworks in which to develop relationships and rewarding activities for seniors.
