Water Councilman City of Lorca, Melchor Morales, has reported that the city council, through Aguas de Lorca, has started the renovation, replacement and upgrading of sewerage systems and, in some cases, water in the neighborhood of Alfonso X.
Morales explained that this is a major breakthrough in water infrastructure that will benefit from direct and imminent threat to all residents of this neighborhood.
These upgrading works were a priority for action set by the council, which represents a further step of many that are taking place throughout the municipality, on improved water supply and sanitation networks.
Water Councilman noted that the proceedings have focused on the rehabilitation of sanitation collectors, with a projected length of action of approximately 660 meters, the process of improving these by replacing the current collectors of 200 mm concrete, for a more efficient, modern and safe and made from PVC with a dimension of 315 mm.
With regard to the rehabilitation of the sewerage network in this part of town and it is noteworthy that last year was a performance that term provided for the improvement of road network in Luchena River, where work was carried out modernization over 185 meters.
Today, Aguas de Lorca is working on a network upgrade even more ambitious, which is designed to improve the current system that benefit the residents of River Street Guadalentín, Cáceres Plá, José Minor, Antonio Navarro, guitarist Cano and Doors Jiménez.
We're talking a total area covering a whole 475 meters.
Melchor Morales explained that this action planned by the city council and the company Aguas de Lorca also includes improving the water supply network in the neighborhood of Alfonso X, specifically Guadalentín River Street, which is designed a renovation that includes a length of 200 meters, in which it will use a new modern and safe material, such as driving 150 mm ductile iron, which replaces the current 50 mm cement.
Sources of Water council has indicated that work on these improvement works began 10 days ago, and is expected to be completed, if no unforeseen consideration, the end of next January.
This action, which is part of the Municipal Investment Plan of the City (PIMUN), is integrated in the XI Plan Water Projects Lorca.
