The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, presented today in Madrid the first 'National Olympiad Leisure', to be held in Lorca 1 to July 4, 2010 and will gather more than 20,000 young people different Spanish regions.
The ceremony was also attended by the chairman of the Youth Council of Spain, Daniel Lostao, and the region of Murcia, Agustin Llamas, and the councilman of Youth council of Lorca, Joaquin Ruiz.
The Olympics, which will run through 12 rounds of leisure, intends to promote the values of the Olympic spirit of coexistence, overcoming the spirit of friendship, solidarity, fair play and peaceful coexistence.
Lopez said, "is a unique meeting of coexistence and solidarity among youth from different regions to encourage and promote youth participation."
The tests are aimed at young people between 18 and 30 who were born or resident in Spain and have no professional fees in the category in which they compete.

The meeting will hold various competitions such as the 'Battle of the Bands' (national competition of bands and music groups), 'Drum', where two groups face different instruments and 'Street Dance', a competition that is modern dance group.

The Olympiad is organized by the Instituto Municipal de la Juventud de Lorca in collaboration with the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, the Youth Councils of Spain and the Region of Murcia and the city of Lorca.
