The Governing Council has authorized the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration to sign a cooperation agreement with the city of Lorca to carry out a project to refurbish and equip the Center of Attention to People with Parkinson.
The Ministry will subsidize the project with 90,000 euros, which will adapt existing facilities and their equipment, to offer workshops and occupational therapy for Parkinson's patients, so as to improve their quality of life.
The Centre, which currently serve 39 people, is situated at Guadalentín River and is part of the network of centers in which attention is given to people with chronic mental illness in the region.
