Territorial Security Center in the hamlet of Purias Lorca, whose works are already underway, to be operational by the end of 2010, as announced by the Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte.
The Minister visited today, accompanied by the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the works of the center, which is built on a plot of municipal property and equipment with a budget of 225,000 euros, of which 200,000 are provided by the Autonomous Community .
The new building will have two distinct parts, a residential, with a seating area, dressing room, lounge and kitchen, and one for administrative use, with offices, meeting rooms and customer service area.
A center with the same features will be built in the hamlet of Ramonete lorquina also budgeted at 225,000 euros and another 200,000 regional grant.
The minister said the importance of both actions, "demanded by the inhabitants of these hamlets, whose location has been driven by local agreement, and that will improve police effectiveness in this area of the municipality of Lorca broad."
More security in the town of Lorca
The Ministry of the Presidency and government have allocated this year another three million euros to the municipality of Lorca for the construction of a Comprehensive Security Center in the village, and 150,000 euros for the adaptation and improvement of municipal service centers citizen of the districts of La Hoya, almond and Zarcilla Palm works already completed and the local police for Lorca, who currently has a staff of 148 local police officers, 40 were assigned to the Regional Public Safety Plan.
