The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with writer and teacher Maruja Fernández Sastre have discovered this morning the plate giving the name of this professional education to the new building of the College Early Childhood Education Alfonso X.

Jodar has praised "the work, professionalism and, above all, the closeness and affection with which Maruja Sastre educated children, performed admirably while literary creations."

Taylor thanked the Mayor, the Councillor for Education, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, and the full City Council in general have unanimously approved the proposal that the building bear his name and pointed out the strong link that binds him to the Colegio Alfonso X , "which now has excellent facilities for children, compared to those first classes met."

This new facility, inaugurated this year by the Minister of Education, Constantine Sotoca, and the Mayor Francisco Jodar make room for 225 students of 3, 4 and 5 years, divided into three lines of study in each of the three courses childhood education.

This work has involved an investment of 1,812,000 euros funded by the Autonomous Community, and with it the smallest of the Lorca area has large, bright, modern facilities, including 9 classrooms, a dining room psychomotor , a multipurpose room, indoor and outdoor toilets, staff room, a spacious patio, speech therapy and physiotherapy education.

This new construction has been built separately to the College, as the school Alfonso X the Wise, is one of the great and historic city schools.

The realization of this nursery has also led the creation of an efficient access saves the flat boardwalk that allows parents of students bringing their children to school in an effective way to avoid logistical problems and, of course, ensuring security for the students of these ages.

This new building is a major improvement, which binds to the latest made in education in the city, as the recent establishment of the college Ana Caicedo, or like so many others that have been made with the Municipal Investment Plan (PIMUN'09) and continue to be implemented through the collaboration of Local Government and Regional.

Inauguration of the new library

In addition, the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Councillor for Education, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, inaugurated this morning the new College Library Alfonso X, which has tripled its space, thanks to a grant from the municipality, and has expanded its bibliographic , CD and DVD's through public libraries.

The new library of the Colegio Alfonso X has more than 8,000 volumes among which adventure books, languages, children's stories, field guides, biographies, literature, science, poetry, ...

Similarly, Francisco Jodar has been commissioned to deliver to students Agustín López Ponce Veronica Segura and Red, the award for "Best readers" this year in the middle.
