The Minister of Education, Training and Employment of the Autonomous Community Sotoca Constantine, along with the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Councillor for Education, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, today laid the foundation stone of a center for secondary and high schools involved an investment of over five million euros, and responding to the commitment in the Compact for Education and modernization construction of educational infrastructure.
The new institute will have 16 units and six Secondary High School with a seating capacity for 700 students.
The building is situated on a plot of 11,500 square meters in an area of cultural and educational equipment, which means the new campus of Lorca, which recently launched the Integrated Training Center.
Sotoca highlighted in his speech "the collaboration of the regional administration with municipalities to develop educational policies, such as the construction of this center that we conducted in collaboration with the municipality of Lorca."
And he stressed that these works are met "an important year for the local educational community and who have made significant investments and has been the implementation of the integrated center and expansions in schools and Ana Caicedo Alfonso X".
The facilities have a high school classroom technology workshop, a music, another computer and another for secondary plastic, and a computer room, three laboratories, a computer workshop and a picture to school.
The facilities also include a library, gymnasium, two sports courts, a playground, landscaped gardens and a small garden.
This work is funded by the Regional Government and included in the Municipal Investment Plan of the Municipality of Lorca (PIMUN).
