Since a few days a group of unemployed people are doing in Lorca several demonstrations before the City Council.
These people have been organized by a platform with intent to protest.
The work platform has a number of petitions to the limited impact that implementation of the plan to promote local work taking place between the group of unemployed in the city.
The platform calls for the City to carry out all measures within its power to ensure that plans are underway and the future are developed taking into account the situation of the city on the issue of unemployment.
For this propose the creation of a list of unemployed to enable availability of manpower for future government actions.
Also provide a training plan to allow workers to retrain as market needs.
In this situation UPyD solidarity with this group and asked the City Council to make every effort to ensure that plans to implement in the coming months considering the situation of the unemployed in the city and can act quickly to social problems that this being generated.
Are asked to develop projects to hire mostly local workers
UPyD requested that the City offers the public a detailed report on the number of people have benefited from the application of such schemes to combat unemployment in the city and what kind of contracts have been made (short or long term ), since it seems that is not complied with the initial objective of this plan which was to help solve the problem of local unemployment.
UPyD believed to be fundamental work of institutions and organizations dedicated to serving this community use all available resources to alleviate the problem they are having a large number of families of Lorca.
