The works, which represent an investment of 2.7 billion euros from the Ministry of Education, will begin in January.
The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, has announced that it has been awarded the construction of the school for primary education module to be operational in the public school Ana Caicedo.
Peñarrubia work has indicated that the company will make a Lorca, to be initiated, if no unforeseen circumstances, over the next January and lasted until the end of the year.
This new module is the creation of 300 new school places for primary pupils, to improve the ratio per class in the municipality.
In this infrastructure will work a total of 30 people, including teachers and service personnel and administration.
Peñarrubia has indicated that the objective has led the City Council is to achieve a ratio of 22 students per classroom, a challenge that this new module helps education.
This goal is included in the Social Pact for Education, in which the city council also wants to include the construction of a new school to be located in the district of San Cristobal, as well as expanding the network of libraries and the construction of a new building to house the Official Language School.
In the case of libraries, the council anticipates that during 2010 is planned to open two new, one in the school Virgen de las Huertas in Cazalla, and the other in the south of the city, to serve neighborhoods Alfonso X, La Viña, San Antonio and San Jose.
José Joaquín Peñarrubia noted that the school community will enjoy, in short, modern facilities, exemplary and leading.

The Councillor for Education has detailed the sports courts, which also will be built in this educational infrastructure, may also be used by local residents outside the school environment, continuing the line promoted by the City Council.
Peñarrubia noted that the project includes the construction of a 3-storey building and another one.
The building of a first floor will house a gym, dining room and auxiliary units, while the 3 module will develop primary education and administrative services.
As for sports courts, these outdoor facilities, which will have the necessary perimeter fence as well as treatment-free areas outdoors.

The total constructed area stands at a total of 2644.76 m2 of the module A comprises a total of 777 m2 including a gym, multipurpose room, locker room, kitchen, pantry, trash, storage, boiler room room, generator room, lobby and ancillary units.
Module B, which covers about 1,800 m2, will host its first floor, a covered porch, entrance hall, 3 classrooms (one computer), staff room, 4 offices, filing, reception, photocopying, toilets and access stairs.
In his 1 st floor includes 5 classrooms, a library, warehouse, cleaning toilets and four.
In the 2 nd floor will house 5 classrooms, storage, cleaning toilets and four.
This work will comply with all accessibility criteria, so as to enable persons with reduced mobility and communication, access and circulation throughout the building in the terms provided in its regulations.
In terms of area covered by sports courts, we are talking about a total of 1,543 m2, leaving an open plot of 2,180 m2.
Councilman Lorca Education Councillor thanked the special sensitivity shown by the Regional Government with the theme of education in our county, which has resulted in investment of 15 million euros in the last two years.
