The Governing Council has approved a grant of 100,000 euros to the Franciscans of Lorca for the restoration of the tower and the chapel of the Counts of San Julián del Santuario Virgen de Las Huertas.

The works, which constitute the first of three phases planned in the proposed restoration, enhancement including different jobs and foundations abroad.

Also, be restored damaged parts and make a statement on the pavement and facilities development.

The next phases will include work both within and outside the chapel of the counts on the decks, improved lighting, as well as consolidation and strengthening of the bell tower.
