Lorca Mayor and President of the Foundation Poncemar, Francisco Jodar, the Patrons of the Foundation Poncemar, Manuel Conejero Astola, Francisco Luis García José Luis García Galvis and Fernandez and the mayor of Greater Policy, Mari Carmen Ruiz, presented the draft to construct a Day Care Centre for older people is to be located in the hamlet of Tercia.
This new infrastructure provides for the establishment of a dwelling unit during the day offering comprehensive care for basic personal needs, therapeutic and socio-cultural older people affected by different degrees of dependence, promoting their independence and remain in their usual environment.
The service day will stay with hours of 9 and a half in the morning to half past 6 pm, Monday through Friday.
In the same support functions carried out (breakfast, lunch, high tea), social services, care of basic needs of seniors, and all those characteristic of the proper goal of such centers.
From Poncemar have anticipated that provides for the implementation of activities during the weekend aimed generally for the elderly.
The Mayor said that this day care center is projected to provide care to 20 elderly, which arose initially agree with the Autonomous Region 16.
The remaining places will be available for Poncemar to be filled by people who in the opinion of the Foundation require this care, based on considerations of social services of the Municipality of Lorca.
The Center is projected with an area of 396.41 m ^ 2.
Comprises a user area (number of rooms capable of forming a single set or susceptible of being able to enjoy an individual basis, consisting of dining room, library, games room, TV room, rehabilitation room, fitness room, hairdresser, podiatry, nursing, geriatric toilet and bath), area of administration (office management, reception, staff room, lockers and toilet area), kitchen and storage area (kitchen, storage, laundry room, deposits), and outdoor (porch, event plaza, fountain, bowling).
The project has an investment of approximately € 700,000, fully satisfied by the Foundation Poncemar, while the municipality provides for the parcel of land.
The start of construction is imminent, and have a scheduled execution time of 8 months, so it is possible that the Centre will be built by September or October 2010.
