The Consortium for the Development of Tourism and Cultural de Lorca, chaired this morning by the Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, has realized investment of 4,300,000 euros, which the Department will invest to create the Artisan Quarter Lorca.

Thus, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism assume the entire cost of this action which will also target the "coexistence of the concepts of sustainable development, satisfaction of residents, temporary reduction of tourism and job creation."
Due to the inability of the City of Lorca to take over fifty percent agreed, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has approved an amendment to the agreement signed in 2007 which assumes the total cost of investment and exempt the Consistory of the contribution committed .
