The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, opened today at Barnes Pilar Municipal Library the exhibition "From Darwin to the Scientific Basis", organized by the Department of Education and University of the City Council in conjunction with the University Lorca Murcia, which may be accessed until Friday, 5 in the mornings from 9:30 am
to 13:30 pm and afternoons from 17:00

This exhibition, in which a team of researchers from the University of Murcia about his experiences in Antarctica, about the feelings and experiences encountered during their stay.
This is an initiative to deepen the biography and scientific work of Charles Darwin, based on the activity developed in the Beagle Channel, a place that also becomes the starting point for the work of Spanish researchers.
Thus, through audiovisual elements explaining the main features of the continent, as well as works that have been developed there, turned into the greatest natural laboratory of humanity.
For the sample, located in the library "Barnes Pilar, using photographs posted on information boards that provide the data to understand the importance of scientific surveys.
In turn, the images are accompanied by videos on various aspects of the activity in the area, models that help us understand the living conditions there.
The Department of Education has arranged visits of high school students to the exhibition, which later will tour several towns in the region.
